FAQ's:

q. How tall are you? I hear you're shorter in real life.

a. 5'3" on a good day, but I never have to worry about legroom on airplanes, so. Pros and cons.

q. What's the best thing you've ever written?

a. While I'm partial to this snarky Drake review I did, I'm incredibly proud of the profile I did of The Rivetera longform magazine featuring the work of female writers, and the work I did on "Saving Sedalia" (I took the photos and b-roll and wrote all the copy.)

q. So you're from D.C. –– do you know the president?

a. No, but I've tripped (twice) and fallen flat on my face in front of Speaker Boehner, does that count?

q. Do you have any cool skills?

a. In addition to making the best vegan cookies you'll ever taste, I'm pretty handy with a camera (I shoot with a Nikon D3300 with a 18-55mm lens). I know my way around Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere, Audacity, iWorks, iLife and Microsoft Office. I can do social media, too: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram…I even have an Ello account(?).

q. I want to carry you around in my pocket. How do I do that?

a. That's really weird, but…my Twitter can be found on my contact page. Additionally, I do a monthly(ish) newsletter. Sign up here.

q. I heard you interviewed Aaron Carter. Did it change your life?

a. Yes and yes.

q. My question isn't answered here/I think you're just the bee's knees and I want to ask you out.

a. That's not in the form of a question, but see "contact" tab.

About me

In every job I've held –– whether as a writer, reporter, editor or social media manager, my goal has been the same: to share stories that matter. I like music, movies, baseball, the environment and politics, but mostly coffee.
